2nd to 5th June Cod Hole and Ribbon Reefs

Written by Trip Director - Kerrin Jones
What a spectacular early start to the minke season! Guests enjoyed some fantastic close encounters with four minke whales at Lighthouse Bommie, where these inquisitive mammals came in to check out snorkellers and divers. This was the first full-on minke day of the season and bodes well for the upcoming minke season.Other dive highlighs included an exciting drift dive at teh Cod Hole with a strong current providing a great drift back to the boat; the always excellent Challenger Bay night dive, where divers were joined for their dive by hunting great trevally and red bass; and teh ever-popular Steve's Bommie with its diversity of marine life such as stonefish, lionfish, leafy scorpionfish and more. Another great Mike Ball Dive Expedition!
