Mike's Travels

PADI Award with Drew Richardson

Mike has just returned from six weeks visiting friends and divers in Australia, UK and USA. During this time Mike also attended Dive 2009 (UK) and DEMA (USA). Along the way Mike stopped into Dive shops, clubs and the PADI offices in the USA to meet with PADI President Drew Richardson and was surprised with a beautiful award recognizing his long dedication and service to the diving community. The award really touched Mike and (as you can see from the photos) he was incredibly happy to be recognized in this way. Mike’s trip ended with a visit back home Down Under to Sydney where he then proceeded to buy his new toy the NikonDS6000 which he continues to click away at absolutely everything. Whilst Mike was in Sydney he took the Mike Ball designed DIY Sydney tour which lead him to Icons such as The Sydney Harbor Bridge, Maritime Museum, Opera House, Wildlife World and a trip on the Sydney Ferry. Mike is now back in the office after a knee operation to repair damaged cartilage, hopping around on one leg, while he recuperates. Mike will be off again on the 1st of June 2010 for ATE in Adelaide so keep posted for more updates and photos.
